Job information The employed professor will be responsible for working under the CSEAS research mission and promoting jointresearch
projects.
Qualification
requirements
CSEAS encourages applications from researchers of international repute who specialize in the society, culture
and history of maritime Southeast Asia and beyond and who have experience in field-based study using the
vernacular language and experience in leading international and multidisciplinary joint projects. The applicant is
expected to take a leading role in further internationalizing the Center. Working knowledge of Japanese is desirable.
Starting date April 1, 2020 or later
Employment status Tenured position
Probation Period 6 months
Duty hour and Holiday Discretionary Labor System for Professional Work. (7 h 45 min/day, 38 h 45 min/week.)
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, National holidays, University Founding Day, Summer Holidays and Year-end and New
Year holidays (Dec. 29 to Jan. 3)
Salary To be determined in accordance with Kyoto University regulations.
Allowance To be determined in accordance with Kyoto University regulations.
