Assoc. Prof. Majid Daneshgar was in charge of the curator for the exhibition “Endless Stories: Manuscripts, knowledge and translation in the 17th century,” held at the Cambridge University Library from 28 September, 2024 to 22 February, 2025. This exhibition features manuscripts in 15 languages from the first Oriental collection belonging to Thomas Erpenius (d. 1624) that arrived in the UK around 400 years ago. It is the first time rare materials, including the oldest known commentary on the Qur’an in the Malay language, have been publicly displayed.
