On December 6, 2024, CSEAS Kyoto Director, Professor Fumiharu Mieno, welcomed an official delegation from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Airlangga University. Led by their Dean, Professor Bagong Suyanto, the FISIP delegation included Professor Jusuf Irianto, Dr. Irfan Wahyudi, Professor Rahma Sugihartati, and four other members. Also present at the meeting was Professor Masaaki Okamoto. 

During the meeting, CSEAS and FISIP initiated discussions on specific projects aimed at deepening linkages between the two institutes through faculty and staff exchanges and research collaboration.
