I joined CSEAS and the Maritime Asia Heritage Survey (MAHS) in 2021. Before transferring to Kyoto University and the MAHS, I conducted research in neuroscience at the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest. My Ph.D. work focused on the microscopic visualization and nanoscale localization of nanoparticles and target proteins in neural cells.
Since then, I considerably widened the scope of my research interest to explore cross-disciplinary fields involving large data sets and image processing.
As the Digital Heritage Officer for the MAHS I hope to bring my skill set of data management, analysis and image processing to contribute to the development of the MAHS Arches database and the visualization of spatial data.
