As the world has become more integrated, transnational agricultural investment forms, participant groups, and development models have become increasingly diverse. I am interested in how agricultural globalization impacts rural dynamics in the mountainous regions of Vietnam by considering the characteristics of investment projects, the actors in the home and host countries of agricultural investments, as well as the influence of international relationships and domestic dynamics. The scope of my study covers market interactions, industry dynamics, demographics, livelihood structures, gender, ethnicity, and environmental sustainability. My attention is also on sustainable and mutually beneficial patterns and their conditions in agricultural investment activities.
