Title: “Remarks on the Discourse History of the ‘Comfort Women”
Abstract: Since the 1930s, the problem of “comfort women” has been debated in different discourse contexts. Based on the discourse theory of Jean-Francois Lyotard, I will discuss the main arguments and aporias of these discourses and why, despite decades of research and debate, a consensus is not in sight.
