Better Living Samut Songkram

Abstract:

This presentation introduces the findings from field survey data collection in Samut Songkram province (Thailand) by a research team at the Silpakorn University Faculty of Architecture. Combining digital documentation of heritage architecture with both structured interviews and ongoing engagements with local communities, this work explores a wide range of factors related to the identification and management of cultural assets, the empowerment of residents, and the creation of new opportunities for sustainable livelihoods in a sensitive ecological zone along the banks of the Mae Klong River system.
