Agabin, Maria Eliza Hidalgo
Overview
Maria Eliza Agabin is the Heritage Resource Manager for the Maritime Asia Heritage Survey (MAHS) and a Program-Specific Researcher at CSEAS. She holds a Masters in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development at the ITC-ILO Turin School of Development, Italy, and a Masters in Cultural Heritage Studies at the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines.
For the past decade, she has been involved in heritage management of projects across Southeast Asia and in particular, the Philippines. She worked with SEAMEO SPAFA Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts in Bangkok, Thailand, including a project on heritage and climate change. In the northern Philippines, she managed heritage projects spanning heritage conservation, archaeology, anthropology, history, and museology.
