Strengthening Future Decarbonization Efforts through Insights from Japan-Philippines Government-Funded Collaborative Energy Research

International collaboration is essential for realizing a sustainable future, and the complementary strengths of Japan and the Philippines in technology and diverse resources, supported by their established political ties, offer a unique opportunity to advance carbon reduction efforts. This research will analyze government-funded projects between Japan and the Philippines in the energy sector, providing valuable insights for both academic scholarship and policy development. The study will focus on knowledge transfer, financial support, and the symbiotic relationship between the two countries. Employing both traditional Natural Language Processing (NLP) and advanced Large Language Model (LLM) techniques, this research will extract keywords and interpret data to identify key trends, impacts, and potential areas for policy enhancement. The objective is to gain insights into the collaborative bonds and research dynamics, underscoring the significance of this relationship in supporting mutual emission reduction efforts. The findings aim to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and contribute to achieving their respective decarbonization goals.
