Title: Ethiopian Higher Education Institutions: A Reflection from a
Gender Perspective

Abstract:
The presentation attempts to give a general overview of Ethiopian higher education institutions from a gender perspective with special emphasis on Addis Ababa University. It reflects on the existing policy frameworks and institutional framework. It also highlights opportunities and challenges in ensuring gender equality in the Ethiopian higher education setting. I am going to introduce our recent interests of international joint research with Asian studies/scholars.
