Overview
In order to consider how humans and dugongs can coexist harmoniously, I am conducting research aimed at elucidating one type of social information, the “human-dugong relationship,” of Talibong Island in Trang Province, southern Thailand, where a new protected area has been established for dugong conservation, as a case study.
As an affiliated researcher, I will conduct research from two perspectives.
(1) Systematic review on “Human-Dugong Relationship”
(2) Improvement of the accuracy of the calculation method for the loss rate of fishermen due to the establishment of protected areas
