International Regulation and the Designs of States

While the rise of states within international institutions have attracted attention to the effect of such states to the international order, she studies the behavioral principles of states with the idea that we should focus on how such states create new norms/ rules. With regard to the behavioral principles, she focuses on (1) the design of the states and power politics, (2) their envisions of discretionary power, and (3) their coalition politics, and is working primarily on three projects. In order to empirically test the theories and hypotheses, she adopts the methods of (1) dataset creation and its statistical analysis, (2) case studies using documents, and (3) interview surveys.
