On August 15, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Filosa Gita Sukmono, Head of Communication Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) , together with Department members, Associate Professor Dr. Muria Endah Sokowati, Associate Professor Dr. Tri Hastuti Nur Rochimah, Mr. Dhimas Aryo Vipha Ananda, Dr. Wulan Widyasari, and Ms. Maudy Marditta Putridinanti, visited CSEAS.   

They were welcomed by Associate Professor Hiroyuki Yamamoto, Associate Professor Yoshimi Nishi, Associate Professor Chika Yamada, and Program-Specific Assistant Professor Youdiil Ophinni (Hakubi Center for Advanced Research). During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of education and research. In particular, they discussed the possibility of collaborating on this year’s Visual Documentary Project (VDP), organized by CSEAS, and Kineidoscope, a documentary film screening event organized by UMY. CSEAS and UMY had previously collaborated on Kineidoscope in last year’s edition. Future applications of media archiving of landscapes using “MemoryGraph”, an initiative led by Associate Professor Nishi, was also discussed.
