This research analyses the networks of political and business actors over the past twenty years since 2004. It examines several government policies and the actors involved in them. First, the implementation of policies that facilitated the exploitation of natural resources, which resulted in deforestation in Riau, occurred during the administrations of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Joko Widodo. Second, the introduction of mineral law in 2009 and its revision in 2020. Third, the revision of the Law on Eradication Corruption Commission (KPK) in 2019. Fourth, the debate concerning the law on Job Creation and its introduction in 2020. The data was collected through field research in Riau and Jakarta.
